Oh, ROCK! CONCUSSION!

I am bounding through this seven with Dutchie-boy wooden clogs. We built this city (after all), we built this city on sparing you the details. I could be excited because I don't have any meetings tomorrow evening, but NO, that is no source for Joy. I resign it. CONDEMN IT!

FORE and AVAST, though, Freedom Movie of the Month--a battle to the bloody nose between the iron-jawed Terry Gilliam and the legendary stash-ed John Stossel--WEDNESDAY ON PAYY PER VIEWW. Free, of course, at the LC, but you'll only need the edge of your seat.

Get a fistful of THURSDAY ACTION with planning for the 2006 STATE LIBERTARIAN PARTY CONVENTION! Featuring such kooky characters as LEE ARGH BRENNIZE, KORE-EE STURN, and KHARRHIE AHNDURZON! Prizes, prizes, prizes!

And I suppose Friday night will have a fistful of other folks, discussing the potential of a somewhat edgy, frustrated NPO/Benefit org dedicated to music, debauchery, and CAPITAL-L LIBERTY!

Still revolving.

Current Mood: Ferny.

So, gettin' about two grand back from the gubba-mint. Bread and circuses for all!

Had a few unexpected folks over last night, and while partially a good time, the close of the evening was riddled with drama. I didn't get to passed out 'til late, and I am racing to finish laundry and shower before the skirt gets home and we make our weekly Fern's expedition. Guess I am going to have to proxy my game of catch-up to this late evening and tomorrow-day, if I can get up at a reasonable hour then.

And Monday, back to meetings, meetings, meetings.

...'til age snow white hair on thee,

Has anybody been reading the news? If so, please let me know what is going on out there. I haven't even had time for Lew Rockwell. HEAVENS!

Went to the RollerGirls exhibition bout in St Cloud on Sunday in Nik's new diesel Jeep Liberty--always a great time at the derby, but it's better at the Roy. Spot all you goons at the bout on 03/24!

Helped organize and worked at a phone bank for Sue Jeffers last night. LPMN meetup this evening, and les-see...tomorrow is Thursday the 23rd--my TAX DAY! The sweet dame an' I are celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday, and if my ducks are a-quackin', I may be able to catch up with half of my assignments, and most of my emails this weekend. If not, give me a 1.75 of whiskey or nail me to a board.

for God sakes, wash yourself, princess.

Read that NoForce.

Another wonderful one from Bob Smith--I can't think of a single person that will not like this post. Don't be ashamed--go read it.

[[
I can answer in broad terms, such as "power corrupts"... put normal citizens in elected office and it will eventually go to their heads, making them feel that "managing" the city, as a whole, is their right... even their duty. They feel as if they must do something important, and they've been taught (in government schools) that all good things come from government, and that without tight government, citizens would wreak all sorts of havoc. They can't let people build just any sort of crazy house, so they write code to make construction standardized, and safe, and tidy, and very expensive. They can't let people start goofy businesses, so they lay out ordinances to insure that all stores meet minimum standards. In the process, they forget that some of our largest corporations started in someones garage.]]

Meanwhile, our stinky antihero waves his cutlass in the air, sailing on a rickety Soulseek, "Beware Charlatans UK, beware B-52's, BEWARE pAper chAse!" Beware shower. And beware pokermates.

avast, ye scallywags!

Newspeak.

Overall overwhelmed from the first week at the new function at work. Major environment change--from taking small business client abuse to complex problem solving and multi-department conference calls. The fun part is that I have no clue what they're talking about half the time, and to add to it, I am not sure what is important to know and what isn't. 'Least I have the problem-solving nailed with a 10-incher.

Everybody went and friended Sue Jeffers' myspace account, right? We'll move along as soon as that is done...

...

Okay. Well, I need to go dig through some campaign emails, give some feedback, touch on some campaign management course materials, put on my drinking cap and head down to Fern's for some rations and Victory Gin. Maybe I'll even sleep late tomorrow in prep for poker...of which we may experience the RETURN OF REGIS POLACKSKI. He makes 1.5 million a year, you know.

Rah rah rah!

Another snip-post, sorry.

Whoever can and will, hope to see you at the Sue Jeffers for Governor General Volunteer meeting at Stub & Herb's tomorrow evening, 7:00 PM. A drink on me maybe, too!

Nate, Dan, Ryan, and Corey changed their name yet-again--a result of other bands being known as The Wastrels. Now, featuring, The Jacobins! There is a Naight piece called "Origin of Love" on there right now, but giving how long they kept "The Show" up, who knows for how long?

Lost in an empty hard drive.

So, there go all of my music archives, too. I have to start ripping all of my cee-dees again, and I don't have an MP3 ripping plug-in for WMA. Confound it, all these schemes! Probably time to switch to a new jukebox format.

The smoker's meetup was a real ultimate time! Bob Smith (who is back in action with No Force No Fraud) was in attendance, and Kari, Nik and I talked linguistics while MacKinney and Luke giggled at me from the other end of the table. After Nik shared the plurality of the hefty tab, he came up to the apartment and gave Kari and I our first lesson in Latin. I'd be all 'bout it, but between work, the campaign management class, the LPMN, and the Sue Jeffers campaign, I am hard-pressed for R&R-sanctioned time. At least I'm not bored, hay? The whirlwind of an election year. Nik should gather some students for a class in the beginning of ought-seven.

How 'bout that Cheney shootin' people up? I am sure I could make an entertaining analogy to imperial conquest and faceless deaths, but I'll spare us.

Hope to see some of you at the Sue Jeffers General Volunteer meeting (Stub & Herb's) on Wednesday night!

Hi there.

I've clawed out of the computer-hole. Not that many of you knew, but I was out of commission awhile, there.

Meanwhile, everything is wiped clean, and I gots some updatin' to do. For now, I retire to Fern's for the smoker's meetup. Hope to post soon.

Twelve trucks, twelve bucks. THAT'S A BUCKATRUCK!

Assignments are no fun. I want my recreational reading back!

I apologize to those of you who didn't make it to last night's Rollergirls bout. You stink, princess. Except for Nik--Nik backed out of the event to attend poker night later in the evening--a more noble cause.

Go 'friend' Sue Jeffers on myspace!

The Wastrels had posted an incredible new song, "The Show", but it has since been removed. I had the reflexes to rip it from their site before the vanish, though.

And, also, MacKinney's hilarious account of his experience at the gun buy-back program.

No time to write 'n' reflect, Dr. Jones. I've got readin' to do. Have a duper evening!

Put me in the brig, 'cus I am Mutiny Man!

Heard "Forever" by The Charlatans UK on XM Fred last Friday evening, and I have been all over them like Drunk Andy on your daughter.

Coming (hopefully) soon: Factotum.

Glad glad glad glad to have my better half back in the State with me.

For those of you who haven't heard, Jonathan 'The Impaler' got Zimmerman'd. The first goal of any third-party candidate should be to not let the Machine put you in the clink. I won't forget you, Sharkey, but I am sure it is 'down the memory hole' for the rest of the wide-eyed public.

I will save my gushing for another post (ja right), but I am just all 'bout Sue Jeffers for Governor.

If not a post on Friday, or AM 1280 Saturday morning, see you all at the Rollergirls bout on Saturday evening!

fret not,
