I say it is time that we stripped them all of their fine hats.
Delay of post! The four-day workweek lurched on and came to a close a couple of hours ago, and I am a bustle with excitement for tomorrow evening's festivities with Nik et al. It is almost la fe'e verte time. In preparation, Kari and I will be doing absolutely nothing this evening, and following-up with absolutely nothing on Sunday. Okay, okay, maybe laundry on Sunday. Nothing else, though. I mean it.
Anybody have a more detailed account of "the incident in Austin", in which Alex Jones spoke at a Doug Stanhope show way earlier this ought-five? I think Cha'Perkins is trying to pirate a boot of it for us.

Confuse me.
Oh heavens, my bedroom is in ruins! See what holidays do?
As usual, nothing was accomplished at Fab Fern's on Friday night. 'Cept Rex giving me a heavy dart lesson.
For the Eve, Nik re-stocked my liquor cabinet, and Saturday's dinner was fantastic. Kari and my mother make formidable cooks. After accompanying the skirt on an obligatory visit to extended family XMAS Day, and ten solid hours of sleep, I find myself here, scratching my head, ripping and burning CDs for my mom. I was going to whine about nothing to do, but I need to clean this war-zone. I do believe I made arrangements to expend ammo at Bill's today, also. I'd better light a fire, and quick.

...oh, NUGGETS.
A Festivus for the rest of us! So, how's it feel to have a three and a half day weekend? A damn shame to waste on a holiday, if you ask me. Tomorrow and Sunday will be spent with varying families, Monday planned out for a well-needed recuperation. For the interim, keep the Windsor on tap.
Otherwise, waiting. I feel like I am waiting. Not sure what for. Stink nuggets. Maybe the evening, I'm waiting for. I'll probably be found down at Fern's with my staple "rail scotch, straight-up, and a water". Stapled stink nuggets! How frustrating.
Merry Smeggin' Christmas, my lovely rancor choir.

Merry Christmas. Now let me out.
Ramsey County judge strikes down tobacco fee
"Without the $401 million the fee was to raise for the state over two years, the state's comfortable budget surplus could be in jeopardy."
I'd say it is a flaccid victory. The State will just send it to the Minnesota Supreme Court, have an injunction placed on the decision until it's sustained, just to buy enough time to re-pass the legislation to change the language from "fee" to "tax". Den of thieves.
Otherwise, hey--it's Serenity day!
Hrm...what else, what else? Nihil. Aside from Secret Santa Scandals at work, and first-and-last minute shopping, I am staying on the scenic tracks. Meetup tomorrow, and a wide-open weekend with the dame. It's been all-a-week since she returned to Minnesota--good in part to reunite. I beat New York? Though surreal, things have been rather cozy, and falling back into excellence--it should only get better.
Hope you all are ready for Jesusmas. It always hits like the atom bomb.

It's the bulk of it all.
It may be Sunday, but 'least I've got a short week to stare down. If this were a weekday, I'd be getting out of work right now--yet here I sit in my pajamas. It's been a tense, dense day, and the whole weekend has been laid-low. No complaints.
All of it is too darn surreal, though I expect every bit of it is a great thing. Maybe I'll be more coherent during the week. For the interim, though, I can't collect and scoop the words enough to defend a jaywalker.
stay on the wagon, kids.

Who the heck is flying this thing?
My, my, my...such a negligent poster.
Though I rant about grips of issues a week--especially at work, just ask Germy Jones--seems the hot button of the time is the renewal of the PATRIOT Act. "But hey," you say, "didn't the Senate bring that to a halt?" For those who don't dig under the skin of the snake that is DC, don't laud the DP for this. Don't. A salty pocket of Democrats whining about a handful of especially violating provisions, just to grin, do a little jig, and pass [vote] the piece of doublespeak oppression that is the PATRIOT Act's remaining 'regular' violating provisions is just as disgusting as the diabolical Republican/neoconservative writing of it in the first place. Wouldn't put it past the usual dog-and-pony show that is our existing Duopoly to have added especially stand-out fascist 'provisions' as straw men into the re-writing of the PATRIOT Act just so the Democrats can pretend to stand up for civil liberties and strike those particulars down. Spoon full of sugar. Something Cha'Perkins described as good cop/bad cop. Keep letting all of this nonsense fool you, please, so we can dismantle the system sooner. As I said today, I'd rather be skinned all at once than an inch at a time.
Meanwhile, nothing of mention in the sense of events. Though, rolling boulder starting a week and a half ago, I do have a new co-pilot. What's this, who's that? Haven't really told anybody aside fam and immediate friends. Yea, that picture was taken Wednesday. Maybe I'll talk about it later, eh?

wow...
That was a trip. Sorry for the downtime. Good afternoon, anyways!
Chimney.
Smoking my first Russian Pall Mall filter king right now. "Famous American Cigarettes...Wherever particular people congregate...In hoc signo vinces..." Can't go wrong with subverting the system, eh?
Last night at the meetup; a hoot. Corey, Rachel +2, Nik, Luke, and my mom & Bryan. Still in planning to tackle absinthe at the end of the year--good way to start ought-six. Met the old man for lunch this afternoon, too--seems it is a parental weekend.
imma take a nap in preparation for poker.
*cough, cough*

OH--s'at look like me at all?
What're those goggles for?
My ass is strapped in, and it seems, though awkward and surprised, I am ready for a slingshot 180. Here's to build-out instead of build-up.
Most apologies if posts end up being less frequent. I'll try to transpose as much as I can.
In my shortness of words, I leave you with a *very* entertaining game, and a hilarious YTMND (when listened to).
Meetup tomorrow night, and poker Saturday. Applications?
And I am sure you all have seen this picture, and hopefully the story behind it, but they really should give Saddam his own tee-vee show. Preferably talk format. Excellent.viva la

Not a bit of sleep.
Another five-day workweek, cheerio. There are no degrees fahrenheit outside. Not a single one.
Last night's bout was bombastic. The Evil James Johns, Luke, MacKinney, Drunk Andy, Bonk, and Doug Scribner from the LPMN were in attendance to witness the Garda Belts' underdog victory over the usually-brutal Rockits. Drink to it!
Not getting into it, but the remainder of the evening proved to be quite upsetting, and I am sure will continue to be; I weather. Never an ideal way to start out the long barrel of another December, but I suppose you can't win all twelve of 'em.
GAH, my eyes burn,
-Brenn
Drip drop.
Faster, faster, KILL KILL KILL! RollerGirls bout tomorrow evening. Go Garda Belts!
Updated blog, MacHairy! Good times at CM, Jeremy's work yesterday, see?
I interrupted my weekend of nothing to post...nothing. Whole lot of empty echo nihil. Quiet, lonely, and cold. Anybody bored enough to come over and drink? I'll let you do my laundry.
Either way, hope to see you all tomorrow. Ribbit.
the time is,

...did I just say "willy-nilly"?
Unbearably cold in the apartment, but that is the way we prefer it, roommate Luke and I.
Anybody planning on coming to t3h RollerGirls bout on Sunday? Anybody? Anybody? Well, how about Fern's on Friday or Saturday night? Cast your ballots.
Co-worker extraordinaire Germy Jones has himself a myspace. He is learning about the internets. At least he is a quick one. Meanwhile, ol' Brother Hutch (blog is longsince deceased) is working in my building--some term contract with HP. I didn't know you's back in town.
And another Thursday passed, Kelly and I survive off-the-scale of the miss-o-meter. Colder and colder into December.
As long as I am not doing anything, I am going to return to Shining Force 2, considerate.
